Course: TM 132 - Public Relations Course Description: The course teaches effective methods for putting the name of Toastmasters International before the public eye (and ears), to increase Club membership. How to prepare a press release. How to get on the radio. How to use the Public Relations resources which are available from TI. Length: 55 minutes Target Audience: Vice President Public Relations(VP-PR) Secretary Course Objectives & Goals: At the conclusion of the course: a. the VP-PR and the Secretary will be able to write a press release; b. the participants will have identified several places (e.g. Newspapers, radio and TV, and public Bulletin boards) that will be willing to put the name of Toastmasters before the "pool" of prospective members and attract new members; and c. the VP-PR will be able to chair the Public Relations Committee and put into action a plan to increase the public's awareness of Toastmasters International.
