Course: TM 134 - Membership Building Course Description: The course focuses on programs and methods to increase club membership. How to maintain an active membership list of at least twenty members. How to attract new members into the Club and how to keep a member active and "on-board" longer than just six months! Length: 55 minutes Target Audience: Vice President Membership(VP-M) Sergeant At Arms Course Objectives & Goals: At the conclusion of the course: a. the VP-M will be able to construct a task plan for building club membership; b. the participants will have identified several methods or programs that will put the name of Toastmasters before the "pool" of prospective members and attract new members; c. all participants will recognize that the Speechcraft program is a proven an effective membership building tool; d. the VP-M will be able to chair the Membership and Attendance Committee and put into action the procedures for new member induction and assignment of new member coaches; and e. the participants will understand the importance of a cordial reception for all guests and members. Instructional Format: Case Study and Group Discussion with a follow up presentation.
