Feedback Boot Camp: Become A Better Evaluator In One Hour Learn from the best in this fast paced, tools & tips driven “Feedback Boot Camp”. A good evaluation is the pathway to better speaking, and you will learn the skills necessary to be better at the whole evaluation process! The ProSpeakers club invite Toastmasters to come to the workshop with a prepared speech. Members of the ProSpeakers club will evaluate the speaker while giving pointers to the audience as well. Bio: Ute Brinkmann, ATMG and currently Secretary of ProSpeakers, has served in many roles at Toastmasters including Area and Division Governor. ProSpeakers is an advanced club with the goals of pushing its members’ abilities to those of a professional speaker. Your Future & Your Community: One person can’t do it all, but together, we can. Look at what is around you and what you have to work with. We’ll talk about defining new possibilities of how we can work to become a more sustainable society. This workshop will focus on answering this question: Consumer societies that depend on production of goods are inherently unsustain-able, but with the reduction, reuse and recycling (3R’s) of any and all forms of waste, can sustainability be achieved? Bio: Tony Sarkis conducts administrative leadership, consulting, and teaching skills to leading academic, business, governmental, and non-profit organizations in both the New England and the Rocky Mountain states. He received a BA in Biology from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, and a MS in Environmental Studies at Antioch University. Tony also created one of the first documentary films highlighting business sustainability. He teaches and advises students at Antioch in the MS Environmental Studies program while finishing-up a MBA and working toward a PhD in Environmental Studies. She has done this throughout her life as she works towards her short term goal of being a certified trainer, and long term goal of becoming a College Professor. She is also an active member of the Marketing Ministry at the First Cathedral Church in Bloomfield, CT, and a member of The State of Connecticut Employees Demostheneses Toastmasters Club where she is the V.P. of Education and the Area B5 Governor. Lisa has overcome overwhelming obstacles to achieve her current personal and professional success. Through her difficult journey, she has found her calling as a leader and crusader to help others in similar situations. By escaping abuse and never turning back. Lisa requires the audience to understand - being a victim and being a survivor are two different things. Those who have moved past domestic violence are at a different stage of their life than those who remain there - and understanding that difference will help you to see how domestic violence and abusive relationships are overcome by the individual, and ultimately overcome by society. Bio: Lisa Edwards has been inspiring and motivating audiences over a wide array of industries over several years. Lisa is a talented and diverse speaker with experience in giving sales presentations, personal improvement workshops, and speaking at non-profit fundraising functions. Her motivating presence and professional demeanor has made her an in demand speaker. Lisa is currently a member of the Putnam Speaks Toastmaster Club #4839. |
