| The Continuous Transition of Division B Leadership |
At a recent (6/16/07) District 53 Executive Committee meeting Division B Governor Marsha Kiley, ACB presented an educational segment on effective District Officer Role Transitions.
At the end or wrap-up of the segment, Marsha Kiley, outgoing Division B Governor, passed the symbolic Division B Gavel to her successor, Michael Aron, ACS with the assistance of former Division B Governors, Norm Thibodeau, DTM (current District Secretary), and Ute Brinkmann, DTM (current Public Relations Officer), with John Lynch, DTM, Ute's Division B predecessor and current District Governor, looking on.
The gavel pass ceremony was initiated by Ute at the end of her Division B Governor term, and it has been continued by Norm Thibodeau and now, Marsha Kiley.

The United Health Group Toastmasters Club #1389
celebrated their 40th Anniversary on February 16, 2007
at UnitedHealthcare in Hartford CT.
Club #1389 was chartered on December 1, 1966; the first 30 years it was
known as the Travelers Toastmasters Club and for the last 10 years as the
United Health Group Toastmasters Club of Hartford, CT.

The Windsor Toastmasters Club #4745
celebrated their 25th Anniversary on January 8, 2007
at the L.P. Wilson Community Center in Windsor CT.
Club #4745 was chartered on December 1, 1981 as the second
Toastmasters Club to meet at Combustion Engineering in Windsor, CT.
To make Windsor's 25 Anniversary occasion special and memorable, District Gov. John Lynch read and presented a proclamation to Windsor Toastmasters' President Douglas Comstock declaring January as Windsor Toastmasters Club month. Division B Governor Marsha Kiley brought homemade brownies and Area B2 Governor John Parla brought pizza, champagne and sparkling cider. He also offered a toast congratulating the Windsor club and its members while requesting that we do this again in another 25 years. Also in attendance was Public Relations Officer Ute Brinkmann.
