d53mapToastmasters LogoToastmasters is a learn-by-doing workshop in which participants hone their speaking and leadership skills in a friendly atmosphere.  A typical group has 20 to 40 members who meet regularly to practice public speaking and leadership techniques. The average meeting lasts one hour.

District 53 is comprised of clubs throughout Connecticut, eastern New York and western Massachusetts.

 

 

District Officer Nominations

Become the best communicator and leader you can be - continue your Toastmaster journey and take the ROAD TO LEADERSHIP. 

Among other benefits, you'll learn a lot, get plenty of stage time, and have something valuable to add to your resume.
Our District elections are held annually.   There are leadership opportunities available for the following positions:
* District Governor
* Lt Governor Education and Training
* Lt Governor Marketing
* Public Relations Officer
* Secretary
* Treasurer
* Division Governor
* Area Governor

Some of these leadership positions are elected while others are appointed so if you are interested in being considered or know of someone else who is interested in a District Officer position, please click here and complete the form or click on Leadership and District Officer Online Nomination Form.

Can't decide between two worthy candidates?  Nominate both!  You may submit more than one person's name for each position.

A Message from Marsha

Your club can 'Move Forward' toward your membership goal of "a net gain of 5 new members no matter the size", by advertising your club, having an Open House and planning great meetings (with structure & fun!) to bring in new members.
 
Support your club's goal to become a Distinguished Club by April 30th. Your club will not only receive recognition from District 53 but in addition, your club will earn coupons to redeem at our District 53 Bookstore at the Spring Conference on May 22nd.
 
If your club meets this goal on or before April 30th, you will have 2 more months to work toward Select Distinguished Club or President's Distinguished Club if you go beyond the minimum of 5 DCP goals.
 
Please contact your Area Governor, your Division Governor or your club officers who can let you know how you can help. You and your club can "Move Forward" by increasing Membership in your club.

The District 53 Web Team is proud to introduce online registrations for the Spring 2010 Conference!

To register online, click on the Conferences menu to the left, and select Spring 2010 Conference, then Online Conference Registration.

Following your online registration, you may select online payment via PayPal or mail your payment.  Instructions on both methods are included after your registration is complete.

Prefer to register by mail?  Both the conference flyer and conference registration forms are available under the Spring 2010 Conference submenu.

Worried that your registration has not been received?  Click on the Check Registration Status option and enter your email address.  This will generate an email containing your registration details.

Did you register before the Friday Fun event was announced?  Click on the Friday Fun Registration option and enter your email address.
