Yankee Activator
Join in our friendly competition to rename the Yankee Activator, the District’s quarterly newsletter. Email your suggestions to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The Toastmaster* who comes up with the most fitting and creative newsletter name will receive a $25 gift credit to the Toastmasters store and a $20 gift card to Borders Bookstore, as well as your name and picture in the next issue, and of course, the honor of your title on all future issues.
Here are some suggestions and loose guidelines:
- The title must embody the spirit and goal of Toastmasters District 53, must be original, and of course, brief (three‐word maximum). Presume that “District 53 Toastmasters International is already in the title.
Refrain from naming the newsletter after your cat, pet goldfish, favorite grandchild or sports team.
Be creative! Brainstorm your ideas, feelings, and attitudes about Toastmasters for the perfect title.
This is meant to be a fun competition, so please, try not to overthink it. Oftentimes our greatest ideas show up in the - shower, while on our way to work or day dreaming at the staff meeting.
* Open only to District 53 Toastmasters in good standing.
