Toastmasters Education Overview

The Toastmasters education program consists of two tracks - Communications and Leadership.  The first step in these tracks is the Competent Communicator and Competent Leader programs.

The Competent Communicator consists of ten speech projects designed to help you improve core speaking skills, while the Competent Leader program consists of a series of roles you can serve within the confines of your Toastmasters meeting to improve your listening, evaluating and teamwork skills.

It is tempting to complete these projects, declare oneself an expert and move on, but there is so much more!

There are many more opportunities to learn and improve, culminating with the prestigious Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) achievement. The Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) achievement is the highest award recognized within Toastmasters, and is the result of succesfully completing dozens of speaking and leadership projects.
