May 22, 2010 - The District 53 Toastmasters Tall Tales contest at the Spring Conference in Bloomfield was spirited competition at noon today. Ken Briggs' "Tall Paul" tale took 3rd place; Mike Aron's "Adventure in Spain" placed second; and Jim Kenney was first with "My Pet" - a clam.

Nana Danso with his speech entitled "Light one candle." wins the District 53 International speech contest, Jerry Aiyathurai was the first runner up and Brian Cavanaugh was the 2nd runner up.
