Alex, the Division A Traveling Gavel, spoke up to let us know that even Traveling Gavels want to be a part of Carmine Coco De Young's Round The World contest. The Putnam Speaks club answered. Seven members from Putnam Speaks (plus one spouse and 3 friends of members) paid a visit to West Conn Toastmasters in Ridgefield, CT on April 5th and greeted Alex, who had traveled from Danbury to Ridgefield.  Alex was cheerily welcomed as our newest club member and will now reside in Mahopac, NY, to call the Putnam Speaks meetings to order, adjourn them, and thoroughly enjoy our fabulous Toastmasters club. Alex is already looking forward to the delicious vegan treats we offer at our meetings.  We hereby issue a challenge to adventurous toastmasters: If you can get three club members to visit our club, Alex will travel once more.  We meet at 953 South Lake Blvd in Mahopac, NY on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 7:00pm.  Please let us know you are coming so that we may grease up Alex's wheels for travel.
