Promoting Toastmasters at the Connecticut XPO 2007 for Business!

The Connecticut XPO 2007 for Business is the largest product and service show floor in CT featuring special focused sections in Technology, Marketing and Advertising, Instant Assessment Bullpen, Business Matchmaking and the Comcast Internet Café. The CT Expo 2007 was held at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, CT on Thursday, June 7.

District 53 Toastmasters was invited (through Event Management) to be part of the not-for-profit section at the Connecticut XPO 2007 for Business. Toastmasters from Stag, One State Street, Cedar Hill, Greater Hartford, SoFar, CIGNA, Toast of Hartford, Prudential, and Southern Berkshire staffed the double sized booth from 8 am to 5 pm.

We had people stopping by who never heard of Toastmasters, people who flunked Toastmasters, people who are in Toastmasters, people who have been guests at Toastmasters and people who are very interested in Toastmasters. An event staff member stopped by and said: organizations that showed up this year will be invited next year. Wow. Toastmasters at the Expo might become an annual PR event. Looking forward to CT Expo 2008.
