John Lynch Bio

Born in 1958 to the parents of Paul and Ann Lynch John came home to Bloomfield CT. Paul was a master mechanic and a Korean war veteran as a member of the 101st Screaming Eagles. Ann was a homemaker and made sure that the family was well grounded with solid values.

By the age of five the family moved from Bloomfield to Wethersfield. This allowed the extended family to live in close proximity and share the responsibilities of caring for elderly grandparents.

John graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1977 and then attended Central Connecticut State University while working full time for The Travelers Insurance Companies. In May 1982 John graduated from CCSU with a  BS in Accounting and worked for many local companies in positions ranging from a Staff Accountant to a Corporate Controller for a regional Electronics Retailer. After 20 years in the Accounting field John transitioned to the Project Management field in Information Technology at Hartford Hospital.

John is married to Annmarie and they celebrating their 22nd year of marriage. They are the proud parents of Eric (17) and Brendan (14).

It was at Hartford Hospital that the Toastmasters Program crossed John’s path. With a strong desire to communicate in a more effective manner John joined the Healthcare Toastmasters Club as a charter member. John was the second year President and filled the offices of Treasurer, VP Education, VP Membership and VP Public Relations. While serving in the club John stepped up to the District level and served as the Area B1 Governor. John was mentored by Jane Philion to his DTM and beyond.

The leadership path has been a very rewarding journey for John especially the role of Area Governor and being elected by the District Council to the office of Lt. Governor of Marketing. John feels that everyone should experience the awesome feeling of accomplishment in helping other achieve there goals. Only then can you realize your goals!
