Greetings!
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! We had an exciting year!
We had several hundred people "Seize the Moment!" and
make a significant contribution toward our success this year!
I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how proud I
am of all of you and our accomplishments this year. To date we
have chartered six new clubs in our district, over 128 members
have achieved their Competent Toastmaster (CTM), over 44 achieved
their Able Toastmaster (ATM), over 55 members have obtained their
Competent Leader (CL), two have obtained their Advanced Leader
(AL), and three have obtained the highest designation in Toastmasters,
"Distinguished Toastmaster!"
You are all to be congratulated and it was an honor and a
privilege to serve as your District Governor. We had a great
team that got a lot of things done, even when we were faced with
many obstacles. To all of the past Division, Area, and other
Districts Officers, you have helped both the district and myself
to grow significantly and I thank you! To my two key past Lt.
Governors, Joe and Val, "Let's keep the train moving!"
You both have given me insight and helped me to become a better
person and truly appreciate what it means to be a servant. I'm
sure that we can continue to expect great things from you both,
Walter and our leaders for our 2001 - 2002 District year.
I would like to remind everyone in the district to continue
to take advantage of every opportunity to be the best. Here's
a saying that's worth repeating (don't know who wrote it), "Good,
Better, Best ... Never let it rest until good becomes better,
and better, becomes the best!"
Here's to another exciting year that's now underway and remember
that, "Together We Succeed!"
